Madrid Marathon 2014 Results
Apr 27, 2014. Ezekiel KIPTOO (23 years) of Kenya who ran a marathon for the first time, broke the 2h10min barrier in Madrid, after 37 years, setting an official time of 02:09:15.
Granada native, Modesto ALVAREZ, who came in ninth with a time of 02:28:37, was the best Spaniard in the race. Civil guard by profession, he has also been proclaimed national military champion in his twelfth marathon race.
The winner in the women's race was Ethopian Alem FIKRE with a time of 02:32:11
